My first affiliate site

Jason Murphy's picture

Hey guys:

I just finished building my first, truly niche affiliate site over at http://jeepbikeracks.com/
I chose this niche because I own a Jeep and found this great domain to go along with it.

I just launched the site like a week ago and don't know what to expect.

Looking at it, can anyone share their thoughts and feedback related to what I can do better regarding this site and any further sites I might launch?

Any feedback is appreciated!

Thx,
Jason

The site looks good. Here are some suggestions:

Add a home page link in your navigaiton.

Add a privacy page.

Add more articles. You need a reason for people to come to your site rather than Amazon.

Allow anonymous posts. People like to post without providing their email (see spam below).

Remove the ability to post to your home page. Allow it for articles, etc.

You have some recommended products. Add some personal reviews of these products.

Make sure you have the Akismet or another spam blocker running.

Nice concept and the site looks good. Here are a couple suggestions.

1- The JEEP image takes up to much space and crowds the site. Consider reducing the size by 1/3 or 1/2.

2- You need to add some content to the site. Right now it's all just links to Amazon. Without content you will not rank well on Google.

3- Your "picks" should link to a personal review of the each rack and possibly provide more info about a specific rack.

4- Content, content, content...
